Fries & Schuele Condos- Living History

Fries & Schuele Condos- Living History

There are many historic residential buildings around Cleveland, but few with a history like the Fries & Schuele building.  This building started life in 1909 as the five-story headquarters of local Cleveland dry goods supplier Fries & Schuele Company.  Fries & Schuele had been a Cleveland institution since its founding in 1868.  However due to a changing business climate and a prevalence of discount suppliers, the store was closed for good in 1979.  The building has since been reborn as a luxury condominium mid-rise offering residents a chance to live in a coveted location close to the West Side Market, shops and restaurants.

I have been selling these units for years and the biggest reason they continue to attract buyers is they simply provide the “whole package.” They are affordable due to the tax abatement, low HOA fees, prices and special financing. The location is a leading Cleveland destination for locals and visitors alike.  At night an eclectic mix of area micro breweries such as Beir Markt, Flying Fig and Great Lakes Brewery are steps away from your door. You are a block from the rapid, down the street from highway access and across the bridge from Progressive Field, The Q and all of downtown. All of these amenities add up to a simple fact, if you are open to living outside of “downtown,” Fries & Schuele Condominiums are a must on any condo tour. Contact me for more details!
